Ahead of International Women's Day 2026, pianist Soraya Verjee and friends return for another night of music.
From classical piano to contemporary jazz, Soraya invites a fully female-fronted line up, including vocalist Sades and singer-songwriter Pluto Girl to share their sounds and stories.
Following their successful debut in 2025, this collective concert aims to spotlight female composers spanning across all genres, backgrounds and time periods.
Hosted in Kingston's spectacular Ram Jam Records, this will be an intimate night to share and learn about the great women from our time and past.

About Soraya:
A London born pianist, Soraya Verjee has over sixteen years of performance experience. She recently graduated from the University of Liverpool with a First-Class Music and Popular Music degree, and, following her performance of Clara Schumann's Piano Concerto, was awarded the Department of Music's Prize for Classical Performance. During her time at university, she was also the winner of the University of Liverpool's Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition 2025 and participated in the HarrisonParrott Foundation's Opus 1 Concert.
At the beginning of her professional career, Soraya became a champion of female composers following an increased awareness of the male-dominated industry. This led her to launch her first concert series last summer named 'A Songbook of Women', across London to champion and celebrate classical and popular female composers. Soraya was also a participant on Channel 4's 'The Piano' Series 2 in 2024, performing music by Clara Schumann and talking about gender issues within the modern music industry.
An active performer, she recently played recitals across Southwest London and Merseyside and worked as a soloist for the London Concert Sinfonia. This year, Soraya will continue her performance adventures across the UK, aiming to challenge gender stereotypes and spotlight the music of women once forgotten.
About Pluto Girl:

Joined by fellow musicians and friends, she creates a welcoming and collaborative atmosphere that invites listeners into her musical world.
