Florence Sommerville is one of the UK’s most compelling new voices in country music, named both Country Act of the Year and Female Country Singer of the Year at the 2025 UK Country Music Awards.
Hailing from Orsett, Essex, She has performed at major festivals including Latitude, Maverick, Country Calling and AMA Music Week in Nashville. Known for her heartfelt storytelling and melodic finesse, Florence released her debut album Endless Horizon in July 2025, showcasing her lyrical depth and emotional range. She has supported Nashville stars and played iconic venues such as the Bluebird Café in Nashville, the Green Note, Fiddler’s Elbow, and the Half Moon, Putney in London, cementing her reputation as a rising star in Americana and modern country.
The Mighty Bosscats
The Mighty BossCats, led by acclaimed singer-guitarist Richard Townend, are one the finest Americana and blues bands across South-east England. Since their formation some 15 years ago Richard and the band have released 17 albums either solo or band projects. His work has earned critical acclaim and multiple nominations in the British Blues Awards for Original Song and Album (2012–2016, 2018), with several albums reaching No.1 in the Independent British Blues Chart. Richard has performed nationally and internationally—both solo and with his band—and has led songwriting workshops across the UK. Often described as a prolific writer, he has recorded well over 150 songs and penned more than 300. His style draws favorable comparisons to JJ Cale, Chris Rea, and Dire Straits, yet remains distinctly his own.
Smalltime Kid
Small Time Kid is a new London (UK) Americana band whose members also perform regularly at Shepherds Bush Empire, The Roundhouse & the 02 in their “day job” as backing musicians, alongside artists including Jill Andrews, Sir Rod Stewart, Georgia van Etten, Logan Brill and Megan O'Neill.
Their songwriting however - notably featured in ABC TV’s worldwide hit series Nashville - isn't simply informed by the usual stage school / session player career path.
Singer/guitarist/songwriter Dan Clark “variously scraped a living as a warehouse boy, building crew lackey and Beyonce’s roadie (long story)” before finally making it as a full time musician, meeting Alex Bramwell (bass), Oscar Reynolds (drums) & Sean Keating (keys) on a nightclub gig.
Experience working with Grammy winning producers like Guy Fletcher (Mark Knopfler, Sam Fender, Roxy Music, Dire Straits), Philip Magee (Kodaline, The Script, Gavin James, Miles Kane), Jerry Boys (Ry Cooder, John Lee Hooker, Pink Floyd, REM) & Mark Collins (The Charlatans) proved invaluable in self-producing their first 2 singles, which have racked up over 40k Spotify plays in 2024.
