"Freedom Jazz Dance"is a free-rolling, multi-faceted jazz/funk/soul collective led by some of the finest players in the UK, born out of the dark days of lockdown, dedicated to freedom and improvisation in the jamming frequency of their performances.

Aaron Liddard and Tim Whitehead head up the horns.

Aaron rose to prominence as a touring member of the inimitable vocalist Amy Winehouse's band, lending his skills to a plethora of live performances and recordings, including ‘Later with Jools Holland’ a show-stopping turn at The Brit Awards and a prominent appearance in the video for Amy’s worldwide hit ‘Rehab’. Aaron’s subsequent work included a spell touring with another of the UK’s finest singers, Beverley Knight. It was in this position that he was able to perform with James Brown and Parliament.

Funkadelic saxophonist Maceo Parker, as well as the iconic artist Prince, during his now legendary 21 days at the 02 Arena.

Tim, was described as "For my money, the finest tenor sax player in The UK today" (The Wire Magazine), cut his teeth with some of the finest musicians and bands in UK, including Ian Carr's Nucleus, Morrisey Mullen, Jim Mullen's Meantime, the legendary jazz orchestra Loose Tubes, The (Trinidadian soca-jazz) Breakfast Band. His award-winning leadership/composer projects include "Colour Beginnings" in which he premiered two hours of commissioned new music as first ever musician/artist in residence at Tate Britain. The subsequent recording received 5 stars in The BBC Music Magazine, where his quartet

album "Personal Standards" had also been jazz album of the year.

Pianist John Crawford brings his 50/50 Spanish/English heritage to the music, describing his life as " inspired by rhythm and dance...." His 2012 release "Ulia, River of Time" was nominated in the USA by the Independent Music Awards for best album in the Jazz category.

Morales (Tito Puentes last singer), Jimmy Bosch, Bobby Matos, as well as UK based artists like

Snowboy, Luna Cohen, Emily Saunders, Guida da Palma and Jazzinho, Negrocan, Sirius B. He was also a founder member of the popular band Grupo X, and a member of the Pop/Jazz crossover project ISQ.

As a jazz pianist he has performed with many jazz artists such as Tony Coe, Tina May, Ola

Onabule.

Tristan Maillot (drums) French born Tristan studied at Dartington College of Music and The Royal Academy of Music. He has appeared with leading UK and international artists and is active on the UK jazz scene with CD releases including with the Jim Hart quartet, Kate Williams quintet and septet and Anita Wardell's group.
