Moykal O'Bui has been making music since 1986 and putting this out via his Boysterous Sounds. Boycey is the band name moniker he started using in 2002. They released a single that year and an EP a few years later. In 2010 they released their debut album "Life Leaks A Hole". They followed this up with 2 further singles, an EP, compilation album and, most recently, their double A side single "To The Girl/Her Silent Tears" which was released at the end of last year.

Boycey are a three-piece semi-acoustic band who play their own songs which are a mix of  uptempo originals and mid-paced ballads. Moykal is the songwriter and front man, playing acoustic guitar and singing. Pat Rowles plays bass and sings backing vocals. Mark Thorne plays keyboards and sings backing vocals. Moyk's songs are at times influenced by his Donegal heritage with themes about love, loss, pleasant/unsavoury characters, life's encounters, the class system, eating too much, hair, Merton, the music business and youth..
